The Mile End Youth Project has been set up to address the lack of facilities for young people in Mile End, an area of Colchester that has a rapidly expanding population due to housing growth. Launching in April 2008, the Mile End Youth Project has now established a fortnightly youth club and street based youth work.

The fortnightly youth club takes place at Mile End Parish Hall and is open to young people aged 10 to 16 years old. The young people are fully involved in the club's development, selecting future activities, deciding on equipment purchases and have been involved in the selection of staff.
